Overview

These photos were taken on October 21st and November 1st, 2012 in two areas affected by the High Park Fire. The 87,250 acre lightning caused wildfire burned out of control from June 9th until June 30th, claiming one life and destroying 259 homes. Walking through the burned-out forest was a sobering experience, as I learned on a couple of my recent outings, including a hike to the summit of Greyrock Mountain.

Thanks for sharing...

Greyrock was my first hike/camp ever in my early 20's and a place I try to see at least once a year. I haven't been since the fire.

Thanks for posting.

Thanks Mindy. It's still a great hike! As a matter of fact I'm planning on going back next week if the weather cooperates.
