Find the Rattlesnake...

... and watch your step! Mojave Desert Sidewinder blends in well with the desert floor. This snake was just about a foot long. We encountered him during the hike-out from S Cove Wash in April 2008. Lake Mead Area, Nevada.

I wonder if the Mojave Desert Sidewinder
eats the Arizona Blister Beetle ??? :)

Digesting about 20 blister beetles could kill a human so for a rattlesnake the number would likely be much smaller. But, I think they know better not to mess with the beetles.
