Nothing replaces running water (melting snow creats a brown muddy water). That is my guide Salim who forced both of us to go down those nasty slopes to reach the tiny flow of water below the snow bank to fill our water bottles and cooking pot (Imagine bringing a pot full of water up that slope, well he did it).
