Finsteraarhorn seen from SE...

Finsteraarhorn seen from SE from the Blinnenhorn (November 1994). At the bottom of the piture there is the village Reckingen in the Goms (upper Rhone) valley. If you visit the Finsteraarhorn area with ski in spring, then a good choice for the last day is to leave the Finsteraarhorn hut, climb the Vorderes Galmihorn (this is the little snow cap right of the Finsteraarhorn) and descent directly through the valley in the middle of the ptcture. The rocky mountain on the right is the Schreckhorn.
