First Snake
First Snake
In all my years of mountain climbing in Colorado, this was my first snake sighting. Actually, we saw three snakes on the same day! Two of these guys were sunning themselves on a rock early in the morning, and in the afternoon we also saw an ordinary garden snake down in the trees. Can somebody identify this critter?
September 1, 2007. Approx. 10,300' elevation. About 20" long.
