Looks like an

awesome and beautiful glacier coming down. Then, a climber has all those rocks and buttresses to negotiate. Very beautiful mountain! Thank you - Grazie, Diveria!!!

Re: Look like an

This was a great wall to climb, now, due to global warming, it's better to avoid it during summer, i think it's better to deal with it only in winter if you don't want to play "russian roulette"!

What ?

You mean you guys know about "Russian roulette?" Where does the Riverdance come from? That's from Scotland, right? I need to review my history book.

I missed an opportunity to climb Mt. Vesuvius
when I was in Nopoli in 1977. Grazie, Diveria!

Re: What ?

with 'Russian roulette ' i refer to the death game that you see in the end of the movie 'the hunter' with De Niro, i wanted to suggest that climbing this wall during summer is veeery dangerous!
I have seen Vesuvio just one time in my life from the highway, here in Italy we hope that it will never erupt again, or believe me, we will have to cry a lot!

That's right !

Yes, Robert De Niro. I enjoy watching ... Laura Antonelli movies. I am anticipating the
Winter Olympic games. About how many kilometers are you from Torino? I understand.
Thank you for your GREAT comments! Bravo!!!
