Thanks for visiting and updating us. Joe has continued to inspire so many... I doubt he has any idea how far reaching his impact has been on the mountaineering community. Even with all the updates I don't think I really have a true sense of how he is doing and his prognosis. Are all his brain swelling issues behind him on a cognitive level? Once the fractured pelvis heals is the outlook likely for a full physical recovery? Of course this is our hope. I have many ideas on things that would be supportive and may cheer him up beyond that photo from mt oly...
but certainly much care and sensitivity should be taken based on his potenital to recover fully. He is lucky to have such dear friends. And I am honored to know him and to have meet you, Grizz, Bard, and the others that I have heard so much about while on the lone peak trip. IF you can express further your thoughts on how he is doing I would appreciate it. I am sure he cherishes your friendship and appreciates your visits. hospitals can be pretty inhospitable places. regards Christine Pilgramppilgram@sisna.com.
