Crisp autumn day
Definitely a scratchy bushwhack to reach the technical pitches, but an enjoyable and scenic climb for sure! Funny to find the summit register complete with ... a pipe packed with herbal remedy and a lighter for convenience. Hmmm.

fun hike...with a little climbing
had a great day trip from Tucson to Baboquivari peak. It was HOT though. Accessed from the west, in the Tohono O'odham Reservation. We caught one of the spectacular wildflower surges just right - incredible approach hike to the mountain.
We took the Forbes route to the summit and enjoyed the fun scrambling. We roped up for the Ladder Pitch, and I remember clipping at least one piece of metal sticking out of the cliff. A southwest classic for sure.
