From Big Tujunga Canyon Road via the Condor Trail and NW slope.
Hit Fox and Condor one day, camped below Iron #2, next day Iron #2 and Gleason. Only trickle of a water source is about half way between start of trail and Fox...drank untreated and I am alive.
A long, hot day starting at Mill Creek Saddle and tagging 4 HPS Peaks along the way – Gleason, Iron # 2, Condor, & Fox # 2. Finished the hike with a car shuttle at MM 4.50 on Big Tujunga Canyon Road.
Rain, snow, and sun on what started out looking like a dismal mistake but turned into a fun outing. Trip Report
Hot day. Did Fox and Condor in a nice, long hike.
Hiked up from Big Tujunga Canyon Rd just east of Vogel Flats with my son Kevin. We did Fox Mountain first and then Condor Peak. Perfect weather with pleasant temperatures. Nice ups and downs between Fox and Condor. Unfortunately, both peaks lacked summit registers.
Hiked up, with my dad, from mile-marker 4.50 to Fox, then Condor. A little hazy, but it was a great long hike. Definitely recommended!
Hiked from Vogel Flats to Fox #2 and further to Condor Peak on a very warm day in October. Very nice views down into Tujunga Canyon from Fox.
With Matthew and Bob, did Fox, Condor, Iron. Ugly weather at first, finished up a nice day, though.
Hiked Fox, Condor and Iron as a loop. Had to walk 2.5 miles along the highway back to the car. Beautiful day!
Here is my GPS Data and Google Map of the Track
I enjoy this one in the winter more then Condor. Great views into the Big Tujunga canyon.
Tagged this one on the way to Condor. Heat not bad on the way to Fox # 2 but became unbearable on the path to Condor.
First of 3 peaks today with Tom Becht (SP bechtt). We motored along the Condor Peak Trail and reached the summit in 56 minutes. Then onto Condor and Iron #2. Returned down Trail Canyon Trail. Perfect weather.
With Augie Medina (Mountain Impulse). First of three peaks on what was supposed to be a rainy day but turned out to be perfect weather. Two hours to the summit.
Hiked Fox, Condor, and Iron with Bob and Glenn. Miserable weather when we started out, but it cleared up nicely later on, and was downright pleasant in the afternoon. Returned via the Trail Canyon Trail, which was quite scenic.
IMO Fox Peak affords the best view of the Big Tujunga watershed.
