No Snow in January

This is nice photo, beautiful colors but I can't believe that there is almost no snow at 4000+ meters in January. Mount Whitney must be very dry place because even on all other photos of Whitney there is very little or almost no snow at any season. I've seen on TV that you are having serious drought there right now.
