Excellent..

I find it very intriguing to see an Alaskan
peak with no permanent snowfields on it !!

I guess when it calls itself "Avalanche", it does kind of seem like false advertising! But there are tons of dry peaks around here. Annual precip. in Anchorage is about 15 inches liquid equivalent, dry enough to make an Arizonan feel right at home (well, almost ...).

I never knew that Anchorage was that dry. Guess I learn something new every day. Nice page, BTW.
