Threshold...

of pain that is. A post-op infection took me the limits of my endurance. The doc had me down a whole bottle of codeine over a weekend and it didn't do anything but make me sick. My foot was wrapped up and swelling because of the infection and I didn't know what was going on until I unwrapped it. I was back to climbing after 6 months but knew that any dreams of high altitude climbing were over for good.
