Fun conditions on Winter Route, LPP

Picture by Aaron Dyer in late February on Winter Route, Lone Pine Peak. Thanks to Alois's sage advice and our own summer reconnaissance, this climb went off seamlessly. A small system passed during our bivy, which affected morale the next morning but delivered beautiful views and awesome climbing (morale improved significantly after the sun rose). This pitch was my mental crux in the lead-up to this climb, and I'm thankful to Aaron and Kellen for sticking it out for me in the cold and wind as I inched up thin 5.7 in crampons.

Impressive

This makes my palm sweat! Looks slabby and difficult for crampons.

Re: Impressive

I think our collective SP palm sweated much more at this classic!
