Gale Hills in Nevada

Gale Hills in Nevada

Creosote brush, Beavertail cactus, steeply-dipping strata on a hogsback ridge, the sun beating down on the desert landscape, wiping the sweat off your forehead ... What else could you ask for in the Gale Hills area of Lake Mead NRA in southern Nevada? What? You say that you want to see more GREEN? What's wrong with reds, yellows, browns and magenta purples? And the blue sky? It doesn't get any better than this. Life is GOOD. Looking west from Lake Mead's Northshore Road on March 31, 2008

Beautiful...

... contrast between the purple flowers and and arid, sun-baked landscape. Cheers.

Re: Beautiful...

Total agreement on my end of the spectrum.
Thanks for the kind words on my image, Guido.
