BoggyNever seen the place dry, even in the sun. The bog is an absolute morass but its a gorgeous range and well worth the visit.
And peat hags. Peat hags everywhere!

Storm and mud, normal routeClimbed with group of hikers from Kilkenny Walkers Club. Extreme "Irish weather" with winds around 120 mph, extremely muddy & slippery, somebody was actually blown off the summit and had to be rescued by the SAR helicopter.
Started at Corrigeen paring lot, passed Cush and hiked up Galtybeg to Galtymore.

Horshoe Route from the Glen of Aherlow.First time I hiked in that neck of the woods. Fantastic spot though too many of those Munster rugby types around for a Kildare man like me. Doug Howlett's going to be freezing his cojones off the wing this year!!!

Horseshoe routeA nice day out. Windy and cold, but enjoyable (except for the peat hags!)
