In 2006 I ve been with an Italian friend in the Gangotri Sanctuary....it was in the middle of April so lets say it was cold, the weather had the ability to change continously and the Ganga was happily flowing towards the spring. I send you some pictures to dream and to restore energies and visions for a new cremony. The dangers of climbing are one thing, but the dangers of hinking in higher altitudes and during the outseason are another. The first part of the book is the hike towards Gaumukh, The Ganges glacial tongue and then continue to the high meadow of Tapovan crossing the Glacier on top....on our way back we missed the weatherwindow that day *every morning a few ours* and stones were hailing in the air when the wind on top of the glacier caught us.......our second hike wnet into a side valley towards the Kedarnath Himal...it was a skeleton trail....a way of one meter and then a wall of a couple of hundrets straight up and a straight wall a hundred or two hundred downwards.....all the locals warned us not to try to walk there in April.....by wind and wheather many rocke got loose....so that my friend was almost hit by one middle size one on the way back.....but still remaining...the love of beauty for deep inner experiences in contact with the big nature.....good luck for you all....you possibly live only one time
