Gannett (HP #5)

After climbing Rainier, Hood, Borah and Granite in a 4 day stretch we ended up in Wyoming for the hardest high point of them all.  We hiked in 14 miles on the first day and then did the 4-5 mile approach to Bonney Pass and then up the peak.  Bonney Pass sucks, man.  It was steep and icy in the shadows.  We had to rope up and use pickets for safety.  The pass was definitely worse than the actual peak.  We made the summit and got back over the pass just in time to beat out a wicked storm rolling in.
