History (Contemporary:))

On the 3rd day of my climbing course here a guy without a helmet fell some ten metres and hit the granite with his head.

I guess it may have been the last time HE went climbing. My partner, who was a medical student and tried to help before the ambulance came, wasn't very optimistic as to his chances for survival. I'm not saying I've never scrambled or biked without a helmet, but here the problem was the guy was roped up but the knot came undone. So I don't think a rope without a helmet makes much sense.
