Did the loop. See Trip Report.

Multiple  Sucess!

Great loop or simple up and down. The stinger at the end to the summit can be a little painful but it's a super local peak!

Holiday trip to Santa Barbara  Sucess!

w/ Maddie. Once to the saddle, we took the fire road all the way out to peak was pretty overgrown up there. Then took the fire road back the way we came and hit Gaviota. Warm, sunny December day with clear ocean views.

Gaviota Peak loop  Sucess!

Took the hot springs trail to the hot springs and then followed a use trail to where it intersects the fire road trail to the top. Stunning evening view. Descended the Trespass Trail on The way out which offered more views and narrower trails.

Clouds  Sucess!

Started early, low clouds blocked all views up and down. Blah. - Apr 24, 2015 8:07 pm Date Climbed: Apr 17, 2015

2015  Sucess!

The Trespasser trail on the way down was fun and scenic compared to the road slog on the way up. The brush is cut back fairly well so it was no problem with shorts on when I did it.

Road  Sucess!

Kind of a boring hike on the road, but the views really open up as you climb higher.

February Camping

Camped at El Capitan State Beach and enjoyed some amazing stargazing. We ended our weekend by reaching this lovely peak the following day. Good times!

Gaviota Peak trail up, Trespasser's trail down  Sucess!

Difficult, but worth it. 3rd time up, but 1st time down the Trespasser's trail... very nice views of the ocean and Chanel Islands!

Scenic hike  Sucess!

Beautiful coastal views. Love hiking in Santa Barbara and I look forward to it again. Make sure your dog is up-to-date on flea/tick treatment. There are tons of ticks.

No pain, no gain  Sucess!

This was a tough hike up, but the summit was well worth it. Gorgeous ocean views on a beautiful day in southern California.

Great day. The air was cool and still with just a few clouds. The views from the summit were spectacular. A highly recommended hike.

One of the best coastal peaks I have done. Did right before I moved away from SB.
