Geologic Map of Cleo Paleovolcano

Geologic Map of Cleo Paleovolcano

This geologic map summarizes the Cleopatra-Hamblim rock types. The deep magenta (Tvc and Tvh) is the color of the dominant volcanic rock; the yellow lines in the magenta represent the radial dikes, shown in several pictures below. The rock types are described in the text. Each hike is denoted by a blue dot and a label corresponding to the descriptions in text. For peak hikes, the blue dots indicate the summits; for canyons, the dots indicate the entry points, and allow cross-reference with the topographic map.

Extremely informative

I'm in the middle of reading your page and I'm already amazed. This kind of stuff is gold to geology-idiots like me.

Re: Extremely informative

I updated the article a little with a few more links and another "cartoon" to explain the volcano formation.
