Valentin Toerl (saddle) is one of the most attractive points of the Carnic Alps Geology Trail. The high mountains on the right are very old, their sediments were deposited in Paleozoic times, some 400 million years ago. In the tower ahead of us we clearly see the border of two very different types of layers. Summer 2015.
