So this is the viewfrom the road? I can only imagine what the
view would be like between those two peaks!
Looks like Boston lost to Tampa Bay. I didn't
even know Tampa had a baseball team, until now!
(I need to watch more of CNN.) Have a nice
week, Kathy!

Re: So this is the viewIt is beautiful, isn't it! I liked it so much I had it made into a poster. Our house is happy with the Redskins right now and hoping the Caps go on to win another title this year. Things won't be the same since the Senstors left town (dates me doesn't it!). Have a good one too Larry!

Re: So this is the viewInteresting! I love the Redskins. I'm sorry,
but I don't follow the Caps.
However, sometimes I have to eat my Cap!!!
You have a good 'un, Kathy!

I've read about......the construction of this road. It was design to mold itself to the landscape. But not until a plan by a high profile engineer with an efficient but brutal swath to the pass was turned down. I think James Mather (Father of the National Park Service) was the hand that turned this road into one of the most beautiful rides in the mountains.

Re: I've read about...It's fun to drive on too! There's some drops you wouldn't want to edge too close to!
And you've been very busy lately! What a traveler you are - I am amazed at the places you post pictures of each time! (Actually my personal fav is your current image since I'm a big cat fan with two of our own at home!)
Keep the pics coming!
