Glissade

Glissade

Colorado fourteeners are very popular with climbers in the summer, so I started climbing the easier ones during winter months to avoid crowds. Glissading is so much fun....

Nice

I hadn’t tried glissading in years, just last month on Mt Adams I tried and invented a new technique- I call it GlisSLEDding, that’s where a big guy like me plows down the mountain and ends up with a 300 lb snowball between your knees and bum... very cold.

Re: Nice

I tried it on some of the red sandstone here
in Arizona, and it doesn't work as well.

Way too much friction on the rear end !!!

Yes, that's what I get for sticking my foot
in it.

Glissading

It's the best way to come down a mountain. So much fun.
