I have been on SP for a while, don't post much, but do a lot of reading and dreaming. The wife just asked me last night, why she keeps seeing pictures of mountains on the screen. I think I told her some crap about planning a trip to some spa with her or something. Damn this sucks....gonna have to switch to knitting.org. At least she lets me get out there on regular basis, or until she sees the bill from Black Diamond.
Well, considering there are spas in the mountains almost everywhere that has mountains, just tell her you're looking hard and comprehensively. And that goes for the time you spend out there, too-- gotta find the right setting.

You get mad when you add a mountain or route and it takes a day or two to add your power points but instead of waiting patiently, you check every hour to see if your power points are up.
Pat, by what you said about the power points, I'm guessing your referring to those pages you put up recently. You only get points after someone votes (favorably), and no one's voted yet. I looked at your pages and thought you'd put a lot of good detail into them. The reason they don't have any votes is probably that there are no pictures, which most people here think are necessary for good pages. If I were you, I'd keep the pages as they are for now, but when you have pictures you can add, just copy your work, delete the pages, and then resubmit them with the pictures. Then I think the pages will get some positive feedback. I hope this helps. Good luck!
Here's another one, Bob: Taking a "quick look" at SP not when company's over, but using their computer when you're visiting THEM! (I've done this, and insisted they peek right along with me.)
Or you could look on the bright side and say that SP is exciting. It's like when someone who wants something from you pays you a compliment; you know it's bullshit, but you'll take it anyway.
I have only been a member here a short while and I am guilty of many of those 'symptoms' even though I have no girlfriend at the moment!
Heck,my interest in climbing had almost faded away when I first started looking at SP.
Now every time I take the dog for a walk along the Snake river canyon, I am imaging myself climbing up the thing!!
