Gran Facha summit

Grand Fache is the highest peak in the Marcadau cirque, it is one of the easier 3000 meter peak in the Pyrenees and offers very fine views. On August 5th each year there is a pilgrimage in memory of those who have perished in the mountains. The altar on the top used to have a Virgin of Lourdes statuette, which was broken during our visit.
