Gran Paradiso group from the...

Gran Paradiso group from the north (Matterhorn group), rising behind deep Aosta valley.

The first snow less row of mountains is Emilius group with its main peak, Monte Emilius (3559m), appearing as big pyramid on the right.

Behind the first row is deep Cogne valley (of course not visible).

In the background main crest of Paradiso group is dominating, led by its two main peaks; Gran Paradiso (4061m) and la Grivola (3969m).

Below it all, in the foreground, are lower crests above Valtournenche valley in Matterhorn group.
