Okay, being December 17th, technically it was not winter (which officially started five days later) when this image of the Grand Canyon was shot. But, there was plenty of snow on those parts of the canyon hidden from the low-lying sun, lending an additional element of beauty to the experience. Imaged in December (on the 17th!) 2011.

I really like it, too. I have used it as the wallpaper on my 27" monitor, and it's almost like standing back there again. I can almost feel the cool breezes hitting me in the face. LOL. Thanks for the vote, Alex! --mark d.
