This is a REALLY nice shot. Haven't been into Granite Park yet, but this area (Pine Creek) is one of my absolute favorites.
Many thanks! This is one of the treasures of the Sierra, from Pine creek Pass you have access north to Granite Park and Lake Italy (which Norman Clyde refferred to as the most remote spot he knew of in the Sierra) and south, access to all of Royce Lakes, Seven Gables, etc. What we did in 2004 was pack in to base camp at Pine Creek Lake for about 15 days, and just explore. Best trip in 50 years!
