Grassi Ridge, II, 5.7

Grassi Ridge, II, 5.7

One of the better pitches, we call it the 6th pitch, some have it at pitch 8 or 9. A short wall of good rock (relatively speaking) that has several cracks. Start in a right crack and move left into a wider crack that leads to easier ground. Rope management and comfort level determines how efficient you will be with the ridge. I would personally solo the route if I did it again. Wiwaxy Peak, Grassi Ridge, II, 5.7, near Lake O'Hara, Yoho National Park, British Columbia, September, 2007.
