Torreys then Grays. Beautiful fall day in the Front Range.
This ended up being during the first snowstorm of the season. My fondest memory of this was seeing someone go up in flip flops.
First 14er with my kid. She's hooked now!
Not much to say... nice trail hike up a 14er. Lots of people.
Nice trail for a summer hike, I also climbed Torreys!
Good first 14er. Was a little windy and cold, but I just layered up. (Bill Griffith, Emma Griffith, Katie White, Andrew White, John Hillenbrand, Heidi Hillenbrand)
I hiked the trail up to the Greys-Torreys saddle, then continued to the top of Greys. Then it was on to Torreys.
Started my hike at 4:30 am. Sumitted Torreys Peak pretty early and then continued up to Grays Peak summit. I was getting ready to head down when I met Ed Viesturs on his way up to the summit.
Took a couple shots with Ed at the summit and I continued going down to the TH. Foggy day.
Grays Peak: 4,349 m (14,270 ft).
Great hike with Kelly (USA). Summited Torreys and Grays in good time. Beautiful fall colors!
started late walked up with charlie, saw some snow, cooked at the summit, walked down
1st 14er for my son Chris and I. Beautiful day. Lots of people!!! Ran into Tom Strickland, who was running for the Senate at the time, on our way down. Decided to never again do a 14er, up and back in 1 day-must aclimatize!
Lots of snow to have your fun. Love the switchbacks on this face. A great climb.
left trail head at 6:40 and reached the summit at 8:40. First one on the top for the day and enjoyed the solitude.
Climbed in combination with Torreys after the peaks received 6 inches of snow the night before.
