Yes, indeed. It used to be filled with water but because of the dry season, there was only vegetation left.

It seems dry season hit much of Europe. In CZ we have just half the annual amount of precipitation. Last year, Zanoaga lake looked much better.

I see, that's no wonder indeed then. I could see lots of small ponds with entirely no water, not to mention a few rivers in Bucegi being completely dry.

The same goes for Piatra Craiului. During my visit two months ago I had some trouble to find water. Without a help of SK hikers (Piatra) and RO citizens (Calimani) I would feel thirsty a lot.
