Ejnar ...Is this what geologists describe as limestone
or dolomite???
If it's indeed limestone, can I please attach
it to my new album entitled Limestone Lovers' Landscapes?

Re: Ejnar ...This indeed is Dolomite, which means it contains as much Magnesium as Calcium (a double salt - CaMg(CO3)2. It is much harder than limestone, and doesn't dissolve in water containing CO2 (it doesn't even dissolve in cold hydrochloric acid, which is the field test used by geologists). All of which boils down to that you probably shouldn't include it in your album.
By the way, we would consider this a mountain (although one of the smaller Dolomite peaks) not a rock, since it has an absolute height of 2592 m(8611 ft.), and rises some 500 m/1661 ft. over the surroundings!

research, I have concluded that the Dolomites
are a very fascinating range of mountains!
