Gully Route on Freeman Peak

Gully Route on Freeman Peak

This highlighted track (in red) is the crux of the route to the summit of Freeman Peak. The gully has lots of scree and loose rock, but if you stay close to the right side and make use of the available hand-holds, it's easier to ascend. Exit the gully about 200' from the ridge crest and make your way upward toward the summit over the east face where the rock is more solid and the incline less steep, taken 3sep06.
