Descending from the notch beside Gem Glacier northwest to the Highline Trail en route to Granite Park Chalet, I used this break in the cliffs above; as such, this way to approach the notch beside Gem Glacier should only be used by someone attempting Gould's west ridge from Granite Park Chalet.
