I tried climbing this guy last weekend. Your description is very good, definitely not easy to get there, especially compared to some of the major volcanoes nearby. Also a bit confused between Rantemario and Rantekombola, named on several other sites as Sulawesi highpoint, is this same MGM with different name? I asked a lot of locals and no one was very knowledgable, most thought Lantimojong was the highest MGM on island...
