F'ING KIDDING!! Is this photo shopped?! FUK THAT!
Even more amazing when you consider that it's a fairly strenuous 8 miles just to get to the cables. An no, I have no photoshop skills.
I'm sure all these people from LA and SF are glad that they spent their weekend away from all the people in LA and SF.
Since HD already attracts sheeple, perhaps it should be promoted even more at the park entrances. Then it may serve as a pasture for the gathering flock. In turn this might allow a few black sheep enjoy the remainder of the park.
woah! that's crazy!
makes me want to scratch my eyes out.
Since I have no climbing skills, I've always wanted to do the cable route. But not if the crowds are that awful. I go hiking and backpacking to get AWAY from crowds, not be stuck in the middle of them.
Remind me not to head that way...
Isn't that what Everest is expected to look like soon?
What a mess!
Seems a peregrination!!!
I did it in 2005 during the first week of june. There were 2 other people. On the way down I just thanked myself that I had started early. Also the cables were lying on the granite which turned away people.
this'll be the next "permit only" area
The people passing the masses on the outside of the cables have the right idea! But Caution is still recommended. I would turn back at this point myself with that long of a waiting line.
That's even more crowded than when we did it on a busy saturday in 1994 when one bone-head was driving golfballs off the dome into Tenaya Canyon!
How long did it take to get to the top?!!
