A closer shot I captured. Oddly enough, the Sahel reminded me a little of my home (Red Rock, Nevada) ....climbing on sandstone, the dry heat....I was quite comfortable with the the heat high and dry although so far from home. It also helped that we started the approach and climb super early.

A great picture!

This one really has quite a motive! A remarkable formation this is! All in all I enjoy very much your pictures from your trip to Mali...and also all of your wonderful self-portraits!!
