Why leave an elk horn on the ground when you could hang it from a tree? I don't know who did this . . . but it *was* only a short distance from a patrol cabin, and you know how bored those rangers get . . .

Wacky update: I was back in the area in June 2008, and someone had taken the antler down (and away). Why? Who knows?
