Upper part"The lower part of this canyon is by far the best part as much of the large drainage basin is wide open".
The upper end of the canyon-French Spring Fork is actually quite nice as well and highly recommended. It has a different feel from the lower narrows, but is highly scenic.
French Spring Fork has nice springs, some Douglas fir trees (very rare in the Roost Country) and high walls.
