A very nice page for a very nice mountain. I may add a summer route via the easy east ridge some day. I used the American Lake Trail, climbed a minor ridge and dropped down into the basin southeast of Hayden and finally hiked the east ridge. On the way out I traversed straight south and hiked over a saddle back down into the upper reaches of American Lake Basin. That is one of the most beautiful tundra/wildflower basins i have ever been in. A photographers dream for sure.
