Led a family hike with my dad, sister and uncle. Meadows were popping with grasses and wildflowers and the views west were spectacular. Dad and sis were locals and were blown away at the views from the mountain they've lived by for almost 30 years.

Up the Heart Mountain Trail
I've lived in this area off and on for 15 years and finally decided to do this hike with my wife. Absolutely beautiful views in spite of some forest fire smoke.
Fun little hike that affords great views of the Big Horn Basin, Big Horn Mountains in the east and the Absarokas and Beartooth Mountains to the west. Thunderstorms were looming, but stayed to the west and north.

Heart MountainGreat trail all the way up. It rained a good portion of the hike and very low clouds left me with no views on the hike up or from the top.

Hot in SummerThe first bit of the trail before you hit the tree line is pretty toasty in the summer!

Heart Mountain in WinterTook me 8 hrs bottom to top and down again. Required snowshoes and was in a snowstorm at the top. Much more challenging in the middle of winter
