to climb there ?
Unfortunatelly it is forbidden to climb here (officially). :-\ Here in Hungary we have some rocks but most of them are forbidden to climb. Bad luck.
So sad... you should move to France, most the cliffs are equipped ;o)
Yes, it's a good idea. :-) We have some climbing area but these are ridiculously small. So if we have time and money we go to abroad to climb to the surrounding countries. In 250km I can find longer climbing routes.
Three years ago Me and my Family drove aroud Balaton Lake And we stopped shortly near Badacsony. I din't suppose then There is such strikingly view of bazalt wall in the close
Well, this one is somewhat hidden. Have you seen the basalt organs at Badacsony?
Not.Alas.We have got little time .We only stopped for a break near the main road.I think I will find something on iternet about it .These all works bad becouse of my family. They don't like hiking of any kind :(
...I saw here on SP Liba Hardekopf's photos of the Devil's Tower in USA, and I must say this reminds me of it. If they had mined just a bit more of the basalt away, you would have a Devil's Tower in Hungary too! ;-)
Perhaps the whole mining activity is just a cover story, and the aim was what you pictured, only that the stamina or the funding was not enough... :)
