Nice ski area

Hello Mr. Valizadeh,

Thanks for posting this photo. Earlier this year when I was in Iran I was planning to go to Sabalan just to see Alvares ski resort but I didn't get a chance to go there. It looks very nice with a lot of snow even in July.

Hi Kamran, you're quite welcome. I wish you will be able to go there sometime next year. Indeed, this area has two major characteristics, which make it a very nice place; first, nearby mountains at this side of Sabalan are amongst most virgin areas of Iran and less spoiled by people/tourists (see e.g. this pic). Second, this area has fewer sunlit slopes; therefore, it keeps a huge amounts of snow during winter.

Sabalan

Hi there,
I´m intending to climb Sabalan in august.
I wonder if there are any other nearby mountains you could recommend for acclimatisation?
