Hiked to the waterfall

I hiked Heughs Canyon up to the waterfall, nice partially shaded trail for a hot sunny Friday afternoon. Saw about 30 other people on the trail, but half of that was a group of grade-school aged kids and chaperones in some kind of summer camp. Lots of fragrant wild rose, falls were flowing, and there's an old mine shaft on the rock wall at the base of the falls. The short section of rock fall to scramble over just before the falls was fun. Trail very well maintained and easy to follow up to the rock fall. 90 minutes total hiking time.

Notes on the trail location in the description:
- Berghalde Lane no longer exists, and you cannot park in the neighborhood that has grown around the trailhead. There's a trail parking lot at 6250 Wasatch Blvd marked with a "Heughs Canyon Parking Area" sign, only space for six cars. I saw a few folks parking on the shoulder of Wasatch Blvd across from the lot. Just south at 6200 Wasatch Blvd there's a park-and-ride lot.
- From the Heughs Canyon Parking Area on Wasatch Blvd, take a right up E Canyon Cove Drive, left onto Oak Canyon Drive, right onto Canyon Winds Lane. The trail starts at the top of Canyon Winds Lane along someone's driveway. The walk from the parking lot to the trailhead adds about 0.4 miles each way.
- There is now a trail junction with the BST about half way to the waterfall, which heads north towards the Mt. Olympus trailhead.

The hike to the waterfall is very popular for families (especially on weekends), from the research I did on All Trails, Google Maps, etc. to find the trailhead. Expect it to be busy until you get past the falls and into the more technical stuff.
