Tough lead for a 5.10a even by Jtree standards. Lay back the start whilst placing off set brassies and micro cams. The traverse to the left crack near the top is not that bad and you have better gear in by then. You can rap back down this side with the established rap anchors no worries.

What a killer route. This is one JTree climb that I would climb over and over. I've cleaned Wild Wind but no lead yet.

Don't forget to play this Kansas tune in your head while leading it.....great hand crack. One of the best single pitch clinic cracks to teach on in my opinion. Takes loads of gear. Wild Wind not as sustained or long, but worth doing as well. With Joe K.
