High Above a Tourist Trap
The land below is some of the flattest real estate in the greater Juneau borrough. Amazing thing is that its in a mountainous basin at an elevation of 700' and only a few hundred yards off the water.
The AJ mine long defunct now acts as a summer trap for curious touist with nothing to do and some money to burn.
In this picture, a 100 or more dog houses are visible. The dogs pull a wheeled sled down a dirt road for training to race the Iditarod.
