Well, don't let this stop you. The summit is just amazing. Take an ice axe if you go anytime soon, though. Also, the Highline Trail from Logan Pass is still closed.
Hey, the page needs a good route description for the Notch (hint). Beware, though, that from Ahern Pass I could see snow at the base of the Notch route south of the Notch, and it seemed to be obscuring any obvious routes up to the higher ledges. It was my original plan to climb the Notch from Ahern Pass after climbing Ahern Peak, but the conditions convinced me to do the Highline route instead.
