This was a one-way, 62 mile hike. Started at Flat Lakes near Tungsten, NWT on July 3/13 and ended at Glacier Lake, NWT on July 10/13. We then took 2 days

to hike into the Cirque of the Unclimbables and camp in Lower Fairy Meadows to explore. Magnificient. Picked up by floatplane at Glacier Lake on July 13/13. This is a hard core hike with many

challenges along the way. Not for the faint of heart. Total - 10 days, 14,699 feet of ascent with a maximum at 6895 feet. Worth every ounce of organizing and bushwacking. Truly vast and remote.

Hike to the Cirque

A one-way hike crossing 3 river systems, many glacier fed streams, rock canyon gorges, high moose and bear activity, skirting the Brintnell glacier and traversing one snow avalanche area. This is a huge hike with many rewards and little chance of rescue should something go wrong. 10 days in all and stretched our food to 11 as the floatplane was delayed due to weather.
62 miles in all. Extremely high physical fitness a must as you start with a 50lb pack. Not one bad view anywhere. Totally epic.
