Stephen,

I love this album and the mountain Ben Lui! I am putting the
pieces of a puzzle together inside my head. This mountain Ben
Lui; is it one of the Munros??? It is a rather striking peak
to look at! I'm sorry about the 'Lockheed Hudson' that crashed
near its summit. Did you examine the remains of the crash? I
really like to see the members of your family included in the
photographs. Looks like they are a very cheerful and happy group!
Thank you,
Your Friend Larry

Re: Stephen,

Hi Larry, Ben Lui is one of the Scottish munro's. It is number 27 (in height) out of the 284 of them. Me and my mate Charlie did examine the remains, it was a very mist day near the summit and to be honest it was a bit eerie. We weren't sure how long it had been there and didn't find out until I checked online on my return home. I had some pictures of us around the plane but, my computer crashed last year and I lost a lot of my pics. I did e-mail them to Charlie so he may be able to send them back to me. If so, I'll try and attach them somewhere. We all had a good day though, it's good to get some REAL fresh air.
Take care
Stephen

Re: Stephen,

Just a strange thought! When you were on the summit of Ben Lui
examining the remains of the plane with your mate Charlie, did
you feel that somebody was watching you? Your computer crashed
immediately following your return, right? Perhaps ... somebody
lurking in the shadows CAST an evil spell on you! A witch or
SOMETHING! You must be strong, Stephen. You must always face
your fears! And, you can even write a BOOK about your adventures if you choose. I will BUY your book. Take care. - Larry of AZ :)

Re: Stephen,

Hi Larry, unfortunately I was unable to summit Ben Lui. We tried three times but the mist was too thick and we were unsure of our bearings. In hindsight we should have ascended via the right hand spur, instead of the left. Didn't do enough homework prior to attempting that I would normally have done. The lockheed hudson wreckage is some 300ft below the summit so we weren't far off. The computer crashed a bit after our trip to Ben Lui but, I did still lose my pictures. As for evil spells, who knows, they say there is a witch lives on every hill! Definitely a very eerie day though.
