Thanks for the note. Never encountered anything that put survival into question -- although there were a few slips and falls on wet rocks/logs and I ended up with quite a few scratches and bruises for my trouble. My shoes were shredded by the terrain. My biggest concern was whether there might be a complete blow-out of a shoe on the hike back down the ridge to the trail. Need to bring duct tape next time.
